KICKS Clinical Pathways

Clinician-led support for the barriers that hold back employment

A structured therapeutic pathway for participants with an individually identified clinical barrier that directly affects their progress toward work. Delivered by suitably qualified professionals and subject to individual assessment and funding eligibility.

In development. KICKS Clinical Pathways is being designed with qualified clinicians and confirmed with our provider partners. Format, session numbers and pricing are not yet confirmed. Talk to us about upcoming pilots.

Who it’s for

Participants who have been individually referred and assessed as having a clinical barrier, such as difficulty regulating emotions or managing behaviour, that is directly affecting their employment progress. Groups are formed on clinical suitability and compatible needs, and kept to a clinically appropriate size. We don’t fill places for the sake of numbers.

Referral pathways

GP referral

A recommendation through a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Psychologist or allied health professional

A recommendation from a qualified practitioner, based on prior sessions or a documented assessment or support plan, with individual follow-up.

Employment consultant assessment

Where appropriate, a documented assessment or support plan from the participant’s employment consultant, followed by individual sessions with the clinician. This is an alternative route, not the default.

How the pathway works

  1. Referral and suitability. The referrer confirms the participant’s recommendation pathway. The clinician decides whether the pathway is clinically suitable.
  2. Individual assessment. Each participant meets the clinician before the group begins.
  3. Structured group program. A clinically designed, progressive curriculum delivered over a defined period.
  4. Individual review and follow-up. Progress is reviewed one-on-one, as clinically indicated.
  5. Consent-based reporting. Reporting boundaries are agreed with the referrer and shared only with the participant’s consent.

Clinical governance

The clinician leads

Suitably qualified practitioners make independent decisions on assessment, treatment, suitability and review.

KICKS manages delivery

We coordinate referrals, scheduling, venues, transport and provider contracts, so clinicians can focus on care.

Records and privacy

Referral rationale, treatment plans, attendance, progress and reviews are kept securely, with documented risk and escalation procedures.

What Clinical Pathways is not

It isn’t a general employability, motivation or life-skills workshop, and it isn’t ongoing care. Our experiential empowerment workshops for Women’s, Men’s and Youth cohorts are a separate service. Having a counsellor attend those workshops does not make them a clinical service.

Funding eligibility is assessed individually and confirmed with the referring provider before any service begins.

Provider enquiries

Book a discovery call to talk through suitability and referral. Please don’t send participant health or clinical information by email or general enquiry. We’ll set up a secure referral with you.
